International Online Scene Study Class

I'm excited to open a new, ongoing online scene-study class for actors who want to deepen their craft and do meaningful scene work in a focused, supportive environment.

Open to actors worldwide, including Australia, the United States, and actors anywhere internationally.

It is an exciting time for actors working across international markets. More American productions are filming in Australia, while Australian actors continue to build careers in the U.S. market. This class is designed to help actors develop genuine confidence with American material, including working toward an authentic American accent.

The class is based on the same approach Michael brings to his Los Angeles studio: Acting, Attitude, and Administration.

Acting

  • Prepare and rehearse scenes with a scene partner for weekly performance in class.
  • Make exciting, personalized choices that are right for you and bring surprise to the work.
  • Explore arbitrary choices and understand what they mean for your work.
  • Learn what it means to become "director-proof."
  • Develop and trust your unique voice as an artist.

Attitude

  • Build a positive, resilient outlook toward yourself, your work, and the industry.

Administration

The business side of acting

  • Receive real-world advice about the acting industry and how to put yourself and your materials out there.
  • Strengthen your self-tape skills and understand what cuts through the clutter in today's remote casting market.
  • Work within your first circle of casting and gain clarity on how you are currently seen in the industry.
